To precisely connect with high-end talent and technological resources, deepen international talent cooperation, and assist technology-based enterprises in expanding overseas markets, Pingyi County held a matchmaking conference on May 27 for technology-based enterprises’ global expansion and talent cooperation. The conference invited Xu Yan, Secretary-General of the Shandong International Talent Exchange Association, and her delegation to Pingyi to provide specialized guidance and conduct discussions. Zhao Wenbin, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee, attended the conference and delivered a speech.

In his address, Zhao Wenbin noted that Pingyi County is actively advancing the “Pingyi Enterprises Going Global” special initiative. Since the beginning of this year, the county has successfully hosted events such as the “Pingyi Enterprises Going Global” Smart Freight and Logistics Development Cost-Reduction and Efficiency-Improvement Seminar, indicating strong overseas expansion demand and a positive growth trajectory. The Shandong International Talent Exchange Association, with its abundant achievements and resources in university-local government and university-enterprise cooperation, international talent cultivation and introduction, and cross-border collaboration, can provide strong support for the development of local enterprises and talent cultivation. He expressed hope that the conference would help enterprises clarify their development paths, strengthen talent support, and broaden their international perspectives.

During the conference, attendees watched a promotional video about Pingyi County. Xu Yan, Secretary-General of the Shandong International Talent Exchange Association, the Shandong Civil Organization International Exchange and Cooperation Alliance, and the Shandong Science and Technology Innovation International Talent Development Foundation, together with Li Bolun, Director of the Overseas Liaison Department of the Shandong International Talent Exchange Association, delivered special lectures titled “From ‘Going Global’ to ‘Integrating Globally’: Empowering Shandong with Internationalization” and “Internationalization of Chinese Manufacturing vs. Localization in the United States,” respectively. The County Bureau of Commerce reported on the current status and needs of Pingyi’s enterprises in going global and introduced provincial and municipal foreign trade support policies.

During the discussion session, representatives of relevant enterprises introduced their basic profiles, progress in overseas expansion, talent needs, and cooperation requests. Experts from the Shandong International Talent Exchange Association provided on-site answers and offered valuable insights for enterprises’ development and talent cultivation.

Integrating industry with talent ensures long-term success; leveraging global platforms enables enterprises to embrace the world. Moving forward, Pingyi County will continue to optimize policy supply, improve service systems, and strive to create a talent development environment that “attracts and retains talent” as well as a first-class business climate, enabling more outstanding talents to realize their ambitions in Pingyi and more high-quality enterprises to set sail from Pingyi to the world.

The meeting was attended by deputy heads of the County Party Committee Organization Department, the County Science and Technology Bureau, the County Industry and Information Technology Bureau, and the County Bureau of Commerce, as well as representatives from 20 relevant enterprises.
